Hiya sweeties!!! Hope everyone is ready for Christmas and has a wonderful time!!!! I just wanted to swing in and share a few things I have worked on!! I unfortunately am not ready for Christmas yet BUT that is me every year ;O)

This is a little tree I have in my bedroom. I picked up some Christmas balls at the goodwill for 99 cent per box and painted them all pink with blue designs!

This is a tulle tree I handmade about a week ago, I was waiting to get some decorations for it that I won on eBay but as of today they are still not here :O( So I decided to share the bare tree for now!!

These were just some cute little cherubs I found at the goodwill and painted them up!!

A few more little goodwill finds!!!

I found these cute little nutcrackers and trees at one of our local dollar stores and just had to bring them home and paint them up to match more of my taste!!

One of my small trees from last year!!! Of course that is my little cutie pie!!!

OK well that is all I have for the moment my friends, I wish I had more but I am actually still sadly decorating and working around here but hopefully in the next couple days!!! Hugs to all of you, I sure hope your holidays are everything you hope for and more!!!

Tissue Paper Pom-Pom Tree Complete

Heya sweeties!!

I just wanted to stop in and post a completed picture of my pom-pom tree I made!!! I am not really quit sure where I will put it but I am starting to unpack my Christmas things today!!! I am looking forward to seeing all those pretty Christmas decorations on all the wonderful blogs in cyber space over the next month, definitely my favorite time of year!!! Well I better run but I do hope you enjoy the photos!!

What I did....

Basically following Martha Stewarts pom-pom instruction except I took the tissue paper "can be purchased at Wal-Mart or any other store in gift wrap section" approx 19 inch x 2ft sheets and folded the longest part in half! Then I folded the longest part of that in half and then again so it gave me the creases I needed to cut the sheet into 8 small sheets, thus allows me to make smaller pom-poms! I then followed the instructions on her website but when it came time to pull the papers apart I pulled them all upward into a flower rather then a pom-pom!

I also used chenille stems rather then wire around the middle of my pom pom so when I was done making them I could put a little tacky glue/super glue on the bottom of the pom pom and stem which I flattened against the pom pom. I then placed the pom-poms on my Styrofoam tree form getting them as close together as possible so not to have any gaps. "Styrofoam tree form can be purchased at Wal-Mart or Michaels in the craft section!!"

Have a lovely weekend friends!! If you have questions about this let me know, I can take more photos of the process as i need to make more little pom-poms in order to make my wreath ;O)

A quick share and Happy Thanksgiving!!

Happy Thanksgiving sweet friends!!

Well I ended up installing a new drive, actually 2 new drives in my computer and some more memory and I have finally finished loading most of my programs so I am happy to be up and running!!!

My daughter unfortunately had strep throat which started on Saturday, poor little thing was running 103 temps and even with Tylenol and Advil I could not get them below 101. I was a nervous wreck, which I imagine many of you have been through!!! Don't think I have ever seen my baby girl so quiet but she got through it and is on the mend now thanks to her antibiotic!! The good part is while sitting next to her in bed when she would be resting I would be working on this cute tree!!!

Pretty boring at the moment as I just finished it last night but I am thinking I will add some pretty mica or silver glitter to the tips of each pom pom and then put some pretty balls and maybe little butterflies on it!! What do you think? I am open to your decorating suggestions??

I love the tissue paper pom poms that are on Martha Stewart's site so what I did was make a bunch of small pom poms, I did open them all the way but rather then fan them to open all the way around in a ball shape I fanned them all one way

then glued the flat side to a Styrofoam piece the shape of a tree!! I also plan to make a matching wreath and some balls hopefully this weekend!!! I have to tell you, making all those little pom poms was very time consuming girls.... holy!! I will put up more pictures when all is complete and maybe a more detailed how I did it later "if needed?", I must get the house ready for guests tomorrow!! ;O)

I also wanted to share a few little things I picked up a couple weeks ago while out thrifting!!

A cute little pink Victorian girl, I could not pass her up!!

A couple of lovely plates!!

OK well I better run, still have a ton of housework to do and need to get started on some cooking!! Hope you all have an absolutely wonderful Thanksgiving with family and/or friends!!!

Many BIG hugs!

Failure Failure!!!! Crash Crash!!!!

Ok girls!! I am just doing a little update to let you know my computer decided it was time for me to buy a new!!! I believe my main hard drive decided it was time to crash and burn!! I will either replace the drive with a new one or buy a new PC all together, I am leaning toward buying a new one but it will be much cheaper to just install a new main drive so we shall see. I can do all the work myself luckily~~~!!! I was a computer analyst for many years so I have a lot of experience with it but to be honest it is quit easy to remove and install a new one so if you have this same issue and feel pretty computer savvy..... just go buy a hard drive and give it a shot "directions are inside the box"!!!

One thing I would recommend, ALWAYS buy a computer that gives you the Microsoft Windows disk because if your drive fails you will need that for installation!! Those backup partitions are worthless if your drive is no good or you decide to upgrade it!!

Oh, I am sure most of you know this but ALWAYS back up your drives, I usually do but had not done a full back up in a couple months so shame on me! I use a second internal drive and a 3rd external so I have 2 mirrors of my main drive!! You can use Cd's or DVDs if you like but always have a back up especially of those things you cannot lose like special photo's!!!

Hugs sweeties!!!! Hope you are all excited for the upcoming holidays!! I hope to have some photos for you soon of some of my projects over the last month or so!!

Buffet Table Fix Up!!

Hiya sweeties!! Well it has been very busy around here this week. We have had a friend of a family member in here to put our bathroom back together that we gutted due to some mold issues we found. I will upload some pictures when the bath is complete!!!

For now though I would like to share a buffet table I finally finished!! I had the knobs on hand so I asked my daughter which color I should use and she said both..... hmmmmmm why not!!!! ;O) I will eventually change them to pink glass knobs but for now this is kind of cute!!

Now speaking of my daughter..... I have a beautiful and sweet 5 year old who is my life ... my world!!!! I do not think I will post pictures of her on a regular basis since this is an open blog but I will talk of her all the time ;O) So just so you know who it is I am talking about I am going to share with you a couple pictures!! She just started dance, tap and ballet so these are recent pics from the last couple weeks!!!

OK that is it for now, hope you enjoy and have a beautiful Halloween weekend!!!

Many Big HUGS!!!

Pretty Dresses

Hello sweetie's!!!! Today I would like to share with you some soft pretty dresses I picked up!! A couple of them will need some mending or altering "broken zippers" and I have a couple that though I soaked them in oxy for 24 hours still have a small stain "I will need to work on those"! Nothing too bad though and for $5 a gown and $1 a nighty you sure cannot complain I think :O)

I love all the pretty colors and the soft flow of them!! In the background you might see a glimpse of the buffet table I am working on!!! ;O)

This one is the only one I know anything about because it is a Gunne Sax dress, she looks so sad hanging from the hanger but I know she will look beautiful displayed on a dress form or of course worn!!!

Oh how I love this beautiful Cinderella style wedding dress!!!!!!! It needs a new zipper but is in excellent shape!!! I am not fond of big puffy sleeves so I thought I could make it into a lace strapped dress!!

This weekend's treasures!!

Hi sweeties!! Well life has been busy lately, really trying to get some things done before snow hits the ground here!! Sure not looking forward to the cold :O( I did go to a few local garage sales yesterday and would love to just share a few of the pretties I picked up with you!!

I thought this was so neat, it is one of those pictures where depending on how you are looking at it you see a different photo!!! I just had to grab it!! Sorry the pictures did not come out real well, it has a glare from the type of material that is used to make it! It even has a little light that you plug in so it shines down on the photo!!!

Then I just loved this adorable lamp!! Already sat him on my mantle!!

Bunch of pretties!!

It is so nice and warm here today, we are going to have company and a bon fire later this evening!!! Hope you all are able to enjoy some friends and relaxation this evening too!!

Many hugs to you all!!

Then I picked this cute little flower cart up!!
Will paint her and seal the wood top before the snow hits I hope!!

Will paint and decorate her !!

Cute little $5 chair will get a new coat of paint!

Just some cuties I picked up!!!

Hi sweeties!! I just wanted to stop in and share some little treasures I picked up last weekend!! I tend to pick up anything I think is cute esspecially if it is priced well "ah um oh... cheap ;O)"!! Does not have to be old, half the time I would not know if it is old or new anyway.... I have not learned how to figure that out quit yet!! The only thing I really know is if it says made in China ... well it is likely not old!!

Well here ya go this is just a few little items I picked up!!! Not a whole lot but they are kinda cute ;O)

I picked up this old wooden suitcase for 25 cents.... it was full of vintage puzzles too!!! Not so much to look at now but I know I can make it a beauty!!
